Thank you for visiting this blog, which shows my first attempts at painting as a student at the Wetteren Academy for adult education in a number of arts, such as drawing, painting, photography, ceramics. The teachers are accomplished artists themselves, and good teachers to boot.
My paintings so far are all acrylics - some on paper, some on canvas.
The composition with a bird deserves some extra explanation:
A pigeon had flown into a deserted factory building.
One of our teachers found the dried up mummy in some corner, and it is now a study object. The idea was to use "big bold strokes". I tried to convey an idea of strength rather than the representation of a bird.
